Everybody loves a good upset…when they’re cheering for the team that won. Well, I was on the right side of the stage when Kris Allen upset Adam Lambert for American Idol! Epic victory…in uh reality game shows?
On the baseball diamond Ole Miss and LSU were on the wrong side of the upset. Both top seeded teams were beat out by Arkansas and Vanderbilt, respectively. The upset sent them both to the losers bracket and opened the field in the SEC tourney.
Down in Hattiesburg good ole Corkey got himself a brand new car as a “thank you, now drive way” gift from Southern Miss. What’s with giving skippers new cars as retirement gifts? STATE gave Coach Polk a new car last year as a farewell gift. I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned it back in for cash or did wheelies in the outfield. Just found that car giveaway interesting…where are the coaches going to drive to now? They’re retired!
